About EVCORE Alliance

The EVCORE Alliance is a cross-sector industry collaboration established by charge point installers, infrastructure providers, property experts, and fire safety experts across the UK. As the number of EVs rises within multi-use buildings, regulatory frameworks for carparks have not kept up. EVCORE Alliance ensures that installation safety is prioritised through coordinated, system-wide installation standards rather than leaving buildings exposed to the risks of unmanaged electrical upgrades.

About the Code

About the Code

This Code has been developed by a coalition of residential EV charging specialists, infrastructure providers, senior fire service leaders, and fire engineering experts. The initiative was independently chaired and advised by a former Chief Fire Officer with extensive experience in fire safety, fire engineering, operational firefighting, and strategic fire risk management.

The result is a technically sound, proportionate, and operationally practical Code informed by real-world experience in infrastructure delivery, fire engineering, operational firefighting, building safety, and fire risk management.
